Abstract : The involvement of the actors of the company in the change processes encompasses various stakes in terms of efficiency of the workplaces and of workers' health. It is first proposed to describe the complexity and ambivalence of this participation. Then the authors describe the recent developments of ergonomics as regards social construction of change. Project management in ergonomics is based on several fundamentals, three of which are described: the articulation between the Client group and the Design group, the notion of Typical Action Situations, and the collective building of a shared representation of the future work. In a third part, the authors underline the current limitations of social dialogue in France, and propose to consider that a future work centred project management may be a pertinent alternative to some highly debatable forms of implication of workers in the change processes.
