On Fault Tolerant Control of Wind Energy Systems Subject to Sensor Faults

Résumé

This paper presents new scheme for the Active Fault Tolerant Control (AFTC) for Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS) subject to sensors faults. The scheme uses multiple sensors- observer and a switching mechanism to automatically detect, isolate and accommodate the sensor faults. "Takagi-Sugeno" (TS) is employed to represent a nonlinear WECS. By using Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) formulation, the TS fuzzy model of WECS is used to design output feedback observer-based controllers. The control scheme is tested for WECS and provides satisfactory results
