Optimal design of power converter using multi-objective genetic algorithm

Résumé

In the development of power electronics systems, the increasing eff or the decreasing costs and volume have been of primary concern. This paper provides a continuous optimization approach for design of power converters. An important Pareto-based multi-objective optimization algorithm namely Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-II) is used to obtain the design. As an example, a boost converter under some electrical constraints is synthesized for minimum costs, volume and losses. © 2012 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. - All rights reserved.
