. Ma-définition-d-'ethnovariété-est-la-suivante-pour-le-dattier, « ensemble de lignées ressemblantes reproduites par rejets sous un même nom ». Le préfixe « ethno » à l'avantage de souligner le caractère anthropique de cette réalité. À ma connaissance, le terme n'a été utilisé en français que pour le manioc et par Raffaillac et Second, avec d'abord une brève apparition avec ce descriptif : « une ethnovariété peut regrouper plusieurs génotypes apparentés » (Raffaillac & Second 1997 : 438), puis avec une problématique proche de la mienne : « Il s'agit de savoir si la multiplicité des noms rapportée par les anthropologues recouvre une diversité génétique réelle, p.283
