Résumé

E-maintenance is an emerging concept which is commonly linked to the use of new communication and information technologies in the maintenance area ('a maintenance management concept whereby assets are monitored and managed over the Internet'). However, much work on e-maintenance gives very heterogeneous definitions by considering the main e-maintenance issues on the models or the technologies or the standards or the Web. This lack of consensus strongly harms its scientific deployment since no academic community proposes a federated framework. Thus this chapter has to propose both a common vision of e-maintenance and an e-maintenance framework to support the vision bases. This e-maintenance framework is mainly structured on three levels: E-maintenance services, E-maintenance organization and E-maintenance scenarios and technologies.
