A história do ensino superior francês. Por uma abordagem global

Since the 1970s, the contemporary period of the history of French higher education has been the subject of major French and foreign studies but has yet to benefi t from anywhere near as much research as the other levels of education. This article presents a critical panorama of research in this fi eld and proposes a typology by period for the contexts of production and the dominant thematics as well as considering the causes of this lesser interest. The presentation of current trends in research enables the author to suggest orientations in the areas which should be pursued in the coming years and lead her to advocate a global approach to the issue

A história do Ensino Superior francês contemporâneo foi objeto, desde os anos 1970, de importantes trabalhos franceses e estrangeiros, mas está ainda longe de suscitar tanto interesse quanto outros segmentos do ensino. Este artigo apresenta um panorama crítico da pesquisa nesta área e propõe uma periodização dos contextos de produção e das temáticas dominantes, ao mesmo tempo em que reflete acerca das causas deste pequeno interesse. A apresentação dos estudos em curso permite sugerir as orientações para os próximos anos e conduz ao desenvolvimento de uma abordagem global da questão
