A decision support tool for deploying chemotherapy at home activity
Résumé
This work is based on an outsourcing project of cancer chemotherapy from hospital to home care services (HCS). We aim to propose a decision support tool for a structure of home care services, facilitating organizational design of chemotherapy at home implementation. We use discrete-event simulation to build a decision support tool according to a real-world case study. The proposed tool permits us to evaluate different resource configurations taking into consideration both, variation in demand and care actors' availability. It enables thus finally to select the most robust and efficient configuration.
