La télé participation aux enseignements de travaux pratiques. Application à l'accès à tous les enseignements pour les étudiants handicapés

Abstract : We must open our training courses in the University to the students with disabilities. A work is already underway which aims to improve the accessibility to these people. We must also adapt some of our workstations to make them practical for use by our students with disabilities. We began this process with the PHASE team at Bordeaux 1 University. Our project is to build an information base that will facilitate the implementation of our approach in other universities. The sharing of knowledge within a dedicated website will be enriched by the experience throughout the whole of France. Communication about this site will allow professionals to explore practical applications of the development of an accessible workstation. We propose in this paper the work we have done related to the arrival of a disabled student in the Civil Engineering Department of the IUT Bordeaux 1. The objective of this project was to study and implement a system that allows the student to follow (see, hear) and participate (ask questions, make remote handling) to these TP. The advantage of using free software in our approach is the open source aspect of these tools. We want to develop free applications for the education to facilitate the inclusion of disabled students in all major universities.
