ETUDE DE QUELQUES COVERBES, DE L'ORDRE TEMPOREL ET DU DISCOURS RAPPORTE DANS LA LITTERATURE ET DANS LA PRESSE VIETNAMIENNES. ETUDE CONTRASTIVE AVEC LE FRANÇAIS

After presenting in this article the two main approaches that have grammaticalized DA, ROI, DANG, VUA, SAP and SE and have conferred on them, first the label of tense markers, and then the label of aspect markers, we call those approaches into question by showing their limits and propose another one founded on the basic semantics of these terms. We then carry out a short comparison between those coverbs in Vietnamese, an isolating language, and verbal tenses in French, an inflectional language. Finally we study the temporal structure of discourse and reported speech (direct, indirect and free indirect) in the Vietnamese literature and press.

Dans cet article, après avoir présenté les deux principales approches dont les partisans ont grammaticalisé DA, ROI, DANG, VUA, SAP et SE pour leur assigner d'abord une étiquette temporelle puis une étiquette aspectuelle, nous remettrons en question ces approches en montrant leurs limites, et nous en proposerons une autre en nous appuyant sur le sémantisme de base de ces termes. Nous procéderons ensuite à une brève comparaison entre ces coverbes du vietnamien, langue isolante, et quelques périphrases et temps verbaux du français, langue flexionnelle. Enfin nous examinerons l'ordre temporel et le discours rapporté (discours direct, discours indirect et discours indirect libre), rencontrés dans la littérature et dans la presse vietnamiennes.
