Use of insulated wires for localized hyperthermia

A mathematical model has been obtained for the emission insulated wire and the calculated values of the electric field are expressed. Geometical conditions are studied and related to the insulated metallic wire. The interest for using such probe for hypethermia cancer treatment is discussed.
