Minimization of the kWh cost by optimization of an all-electric chain for the SEAREV Wave Energy Converter.

Abstract : This article presents a two-step approach for the design of a Wave Energy Converter (WEC) electric chain. We show how it is possible, from a bi-objective optimization, to determine the results of several single-objective optimization strategies, in the aim of minimizing the per-kWh production cost. The discussion addresses the influence of operating cycle choice on optimization results, with special attention shown to developing the per-kWh cost of electricity generated.
