Résumé

Three-dimensional images of intermetallic particles and of voids embedded in the 5182 aluminium alloy are obtained by synchrotron X-ray absorption tomography. The images are processed and analysed in order to quantify the evolution of the morphology of the particles and pores during the complete processing of a sheet product, that is, from the as-cast to the cold deformed state.
