On reconfigurability for actuator faults under reliability constraints

Résumé

This paper interests to the properties of fault-tolerant control system with respect to reliability of components. The aim of this paper is to present the need of reliability analysis in fault-tolerant control design. The focus of our study is on the reconfigurability analysis of systems with actuator faults under reliability constraints. This analysis proves that control reconfigurability is a system property that is not only related to Gramian controllability and controllability of the system but it's related also and directly to overall system reliability. In this context, reconfigurability index is proposed. A flotation circuit is taking like an example to illustrate this work. In fact, flotation circuit is one of the most interactive mineral's processing operation. The interactive nature of flotation circuit results in oscillation of levels and hence of grades and recoveries.
