An Ontology-Driven Data Mediation Framework For Enterprise Application Integration

Résumé

Data mediation which constitutes the heart of any integration solution reamins a big challenge in the field of enterprise application integration (EAI). Actual solutions are limited since they are mainly based on syntactic data transformations. These syntactic-based solutions are not scalable and not enough extensible. Taking into account semantics will enhance EAI with meaningful exchanges that are necessary in order to make correctly interoperating heterogeneous, autonomous and distributed application systems. This paper focuses on data mediation and it defines a generic framework for transforming heterogeneous data in the context of EAI.
