Stabilization of an actively mode-locked erbium-doped fiber ring laser by multi-harmonic phase modulation

Résumé

We demonstrate actively mode-locked operation of a fiber laser using a novel multi-harmonic phase modulation technique. By mixing two harmonics of the fundamental cavity frequency to drive a phase modulator, improved stability performance is observed
