Linking interoperability and risk assessment: A methodological approach for socio-technical systems

Résumé

Interoperability is the ability for two (or more) systems to communicate and to work together without any problem. So, if a system is not interoperable, some risks can emerge inducing lack of performance, of stability and of coherence. This document proposes to link interoperability improvement problem to the risk assessment. It presents a methodological approach dedicated to the risk assessment in socio-technical systems in the same way than in the medical organisations. Copyright © 2006 IFAC
