Information System and Decisional Risk Control for a Cybernetic Modeling of Project Management

The authors are developing intranet tools---knowledge dynamical management system (KDMS) ---to track the scientific production of long-term projects by a collective with many changing actors. The technical function of the KDMS is to manage and control the evolution of the knowledge corpus produced by the project, and thus facilitate the creation of review documents and presentation reports. Based on the KDMS, this paper explains how to design collective evaluation aids and traceability functions for strategic decisions and logical argumentation. The management of a collective project is represented as a control loop: the risk accompanying the decision is the controlled variable and is strongly linked to the entropy of the knowledge base managed by the KDMS.
