A system of Interactive Scores based on qualitative and quantitative temporal constraints
Résumé
We present a system of interactive scores designed for the interpretation of musical pieces. The composer can specify temporal relations between the elements of his piece. Qualitative constraints based on the Allen algebra and quantitative constraints on the time intervalls between the events of the piece. At last he can specify interaction points used by a performer to change the date of some events of the score during the performance. In execution mode, the system runs the score by automatically triggering the static events and waiting for messages from the performer to trigger the events associated with the interaction points. When it recieves a trigger message, it recomputes the date of other events to maintain the qualitative and quantitative constraints.
