The invention relates to a connecting terminal which is used for the wireless connection of terminals to a communication network. The invention comprises transmission/reception means which can exchange data with a remote terminal that is also equipped with transmission/reception means. The invention is characterised in that the transmission/reception means of the inventive terminal comprise a transmitter having an extended infrared light source.
