Résumé

We propose a method that should enhance the re-use of components / products thanks to a better management of their failure risk. Mechanical components have limited life which is strongly related to usage rate and operational conditions. Two parts could appear similar but actually not have similar performances, because they had different usage rate, applied forces, during their life. Our research aim is giving birth to a new quality index called Running Quality Index (RQI). The idea is to calculate a quantitative index to valuate a part's (or product's) health based on various relevant parameters.
