Parallel Island-Based Genetic Algorithm for Radio Network Design
Résumé
The LEOPARD project aims at studying the characteristics of evolutionary population-based algorithms, such as Genetic Algorithms (GA), in order to find out how such algorithms can be parallelized in the most efficient way. In this paper a realistic combinatorial optimization problem taken from the field of radio network planning is used as a test-bench to evaluate the efficiency of the parallel algorithms we develop.
