Overview on Opportunistic Maintenance
Résumé
Conventional maintenance strategies on a single component are being phased out in favour of more predictive maintenance actions. These new forms of maintenance are emerging today to help controlling the global performances of the whole system. They are anticipative in nature, which allows to consider non-already-planned maintenance actions. Thus they lead to investigate potential opportunistic interventions. Opportunistic maintenance, the way it is understood or practiced today, its tools and criteria are questioned in the present work. An overview and some illustrations of this concept are also provided.
