Control strategy and Optimisation of paralleling DC-DC converters with supercapacitors and batteries for peak power in Hybrid Vehicle Applications

Résumé

This paper will present the control strategy to share energy between supercapacitors and batteries in hybrid vehicle DC-link. The experimental test platform ECCE is a 120kW series hybrid vehicle with 4 independent wheels. The electric generator feeds 4 electric traction motors. The paper will present a parallel DC/DC converters and their control strategy. The supercapacitors bank voltage will provide rated voltage between 135V and 270V.
