Numerical experimentations of parallel strategies in structural non-linear analysis

Abstract : Numerical simulation of structures with non-linear behaviour often leads to high numerical costs. In order to reduce these costs, we use a strategy well-suited to parallel computers. Two applications (biaxial fatigue disk and biaxial specimen) are presented in the case of industrial-type problems with a large number of degrees of freedom. They have been performed on a 16-processor ibm sp2 using pvm.
