High-performance Method to Predict Sales of Fast-moving Sales Goods

Résumé

To anticipate marketing actions ahead of market changes and to predict futures sales becomes one of the main stakes of managers. They need a high-performance forecasting tool that accounts for market dynamics. But, what is the most high-performance method to predict fast moving sales? We will try to answer this question by relying on comparative study of different forecasting techniques, from the most usual to "state of the art" more sophisticated tools such as state-space models. We will apply those models to standard time series taken out of literature and to data sets derived from real marketing context.
