Two-electron states bound to interface defects in quantum cascade lasers subjected to a strong magnetic field
Résumé
The binding of two electrons in interface defects of quantum cascade laser structures is investigated when a strong magnetic field is applied parallel to the growth axis of the structure. We show that this binding is rarely energetically possible. However, we also show that once two electrons are sufficiently far away, they remain in a quasistable state despite the emission of acoustical phonons.
