Multi-agent system architecture for concurrent design and manufacturing

Abstract : Today, interoperability between systems is becoming one of the principal barriers to achieve a competitive environment. The development of a collaborative system based on knowledge sharing which assists the different experts involved in design and manufacturing plays an important role to solve this problem. In this paper we describe a collaborative architecture based on multi-agents techniques and web semantic technology. Firstly, we describe a state of the art of the actual systems and then we detail our proposed architecture. This architecture provides facilities such as flexibility, modularity, knowledge reusability and knowledge integration between design and manufacturing phases.
