Résumé
Comparative studies taught us a lot on socio-cognitive in Primates. Nevertheless, the hypothesis that these studies may inform us about the human dawn must be considered cautiously. In the primate order, cognitive capacities seem to progress in a continuum and leave very few room to capacities specific to apes. The human kind is an exception and this rests on what is unique to it: the ability to speech. Obviously, this capacity is modifying the human forms of communication but too overhaul specifically its cognitive capacities and its way of being. In the order of human and non human primates, the language capacity install a break. This statement will be argued and will allow to be aware of the consequences due to a frequent confusion concerning the communicative and linguistic fields. They cannot be considered as equivalent and interchangeable.
L'approche comparative des capacités socio-cognitives dans l'ordre des Primates a été riche d'enseignement. Mais l'hypothèse que ces études puissent renseigner sur l'aurore humaine doit être fortement nuancée. Dans l'ordre des primates, les capacités cognitives semblent suivre un continuum et laisser peu de place à des capacités spécifiques aux Grands Singes. L'espèce humaine fait exception et cela tient à ce qui lui est unique: la capacité au langage. Cette capacité affecte bien sûr les modalités humaines de communication mais aussi refond spécifiquement ses capacités cognitives et son mode d'être au monde. Dans l'ordre des primates humains et non humains, la capacité au langage fait rupture. Ce constat sera argumenté et permet de rendre compte des effets dus à une confusion fréquente entre les champs de la communication et de la linguistique. On ne peut les considérer comme équivalents et par conséquent interchangeables.
