Degree of the dominant cycles in no-wait robotic cells

Nadia Brauner

Résumé

In a no-wait robotic cell, we proved that the smallest degree of an optimal cycle, kappa, can take any value between 1 and (m+1)/2. We also proved that kappa can be equal to m-1 for m=4 and that there exists instances for which kappa greater or equal to m-1 for m=5. The next step will be to prove, as conjectured by Agnetis, that kappa is greater or equal than m-1 for any instance.
