Dynamic modeling of web purchase behavior and e-mailing impact by Petri net

Résumé

This article introduces Petri nets to model the dynamics of Web site visits and purchases in wish list systems. The basic model performs better than a classic negative binomial regression model. It is also extended to measure the impact of e-mailing intervals on the number of connections and purchases.
