An Energy Approach to Optimal Selection of Control Inputs in Power Systems
Résumé
This paper presents an energy approach based on the controllability gramian for the optimal selection of control inputs in large-scale power systems. This approach consists in solving a stochastic optimization problem based on scenarios reflecting various operational situations (load changes, line tripping, ...) . This approach may be regarded as part of a structural optimization procedure aiming at defining some new control systems in the context of security improvements of large power systems. Applications to both a “two-area system” and a “118 bus system” give very promising results.
