UniGlyph: only one keystroke per character on a 4-button minimal keypad for key-based text entry
Résumé
UniGlyph is a new text entry method for handheld devices. It is based on the structure of Latin characters composed by a specific sequence of primitives (curve, stroke, loop...). UniGlyph allows for the typing of text on a 4-button minimal keypad with only one keystroke per character. A controlled experiment has been performed to compare UniGlyph to two other reduced-key text input methods, namely Phraze-It and 4-Key EdgeWrite
