Abstract
A coming of age novel for the third millenium that binds farewell to the eternal adolescence of the twentieth century A reading of the seven volumes of Harry Potter with the tooles of mimetic anthropology shows that the work of J. K. Rowling presents an entirevision on society,scool and education. In the tales, light is shed on the violence involved in its two principal processes : segregation or confusion. Breaking with the tradition of the twentieth century best-sellers and their romantic fascination with adolescence, Harry Potter discloses the work of anthropological reconstruction going on todayin the imaginaireworlds of contemporary youth. The tale of the young magicians will contribute therefore to an new understanding of human life and to the ending of the bewitching of the world
Une lecture de Harry Potter avec les outils de l'anthropologie mimétique permet de montrer une véritable vision de la société, de l'école et de l'éducation. On trouve dans la saga une mise en lumière de la violence dans ses deux principaux processus : ségrégation et confusion. Rompant avec les best-sellers du XXe siècle et leur fascination romantique pour l'adolescence, Harry Potter renverrait au travail de refondation anthropologique à l'œuvre aujourd'hui dans les imaginaires de la jeunesse contemporaine.
