Geoffrey of Monmouth's:History of the Kings of Britain and the Twelfth-Century renaissance

The purpose of this article is to show that Geoffrey of Monmouth was indeed a man of his time and that the History of the Kings of Britain takes its place as fully representative of the renewal in literature and historiography in teh twelfth century.
