Measuring Spectral Linewidth of Highly-coherent Laser Using Optical Injection

A new method using optical injection is proposed to measure spectral linewidth of coherent single mode lasers. Theoretical model and experimental measurement of a 50 kHz full width half maximum linewidth fiber laser are presented.
