Résumé

The Enterprise Modelling field is a fascinating and very dynamic world; but there is a huge amount of different solutions and applications available, due also to the fact that most of these are problem specific and strictly related to the nature of the application domain. The stronger need of a generalisation is witnessed by the number of frameworks and meta-models presented. Starting from the mess of fragmented approaches to enterprise modelling, it will be ever possible to recompose the fragmented and chaotic picture in a unique one? Exist solutions that solve this apparent chaotic melting pot to reach a standard “plug and play” mechanism? It is hopefully necessary that the variety for the science of EM to improve swiftly and to generate even better solutions: much deeper analysis of this complex frame is required to understand the answer to this systemic question, if ever it will exist.
