Analyse des paramètres temporels de l'activité de prise de notes en langue seconde : une étude-pilote

Abstract : The notetaking activity is here considered as a way to understand second language writer's cognitive resources and strategies within a task constrainig working memory. Actually, three main linguistic activities are involved in notetaking: understanding, writing and reading. This contribution reports a pilot study about notetaking in second language (French) with Japanese noters and a native as a control. From the hypothesis in which the writing pauses correspond to a moment when the writer thnik to manage, on line, informations in is/her working memory, this study presnts the originality to observe writing pauses during his/her notetaking. Thanks to a software for traetment of scriptural activity, it is possible to "see" where is located resource demand in notetaking (i.e. at the level of the macrostructure or of the microstructure of the lecture). The results show that a competent non-native in notetaking and in second language is able to challenge, in some extent, a native in this kind of activity.
