Résumé

This document is the deliverable D8.1 related to the wireless communication work package (WP8) of the DYNAMITE project. In accordance with the communications requirements developed in the D6.3 (deliverable under the UHP responsibility), the scope of this deliverable D8.1 is: • to review the existing wireless technologies by means of a state of art, • and to assess their relevance to support e-maintenance requirements in terms of communications (informational flows exchanged between e-maintenance actors). In that way, this deliverable is composed of three sections: • Section 1 introduces Industrial Communication Systems (ICS) and their requirements in terms of real-time services, throughput, jitter, reliability and fault tolerance. The data traffic requirements for e-maintenance applications are also presented. • Section 2 develops a state of art of the most relevant radio frequencies-based wireless technologies. • Section 3 discusses on the assessment of each technology for their integration in industrial environments. A comparison of wireless technologies which summarizes their suitability for e-maintenance applications is also given
