The objective of D6.3. is to define the main requirements for Wireless Communications in industrial applications in order to support information exchanges within an e-maintenance platform. The communications requirements within such a platform are posed both by the users of the e-Maintenance services, as well as by the operating environment wherein the users are acting. The users can be seen as different actors, located at different organisation layers (field, local, management, and decision-maker). The operating conditions differ at the various organisational layers and can include resistance against harsh environment, real-time requirements, noise/interference-immunity, reliability and fault-tolerance
