Reconfigurable Microstrip Antennas in Millimeter Waves
Résumé
The purpose of this paper is to report on two microstrip reconfigurable antennas in millimeter wave ranges. The first one has radiation pattern diversity and the second one has directivity diversity. To that effect, two solutions are presented here based on 4-element array. For these two diversities, the main difficulty is to keep up good matching (S11) for all configurations. The design method to respect this parameter will be reviewed. Great results have been achieved with passive prototypes and an unconventional method is given to guarantee matching for each configuration. antennas design procedure is outlined and, finally, results and measurements concerning the two passives prototypes are reviewed.
