Résumé

Interfacial indentation is used to create and propagate a crack in the interface between a coating and its substrate. This methodology allows defining an apparent interface toughness, which can represent the adhesion of the coating on its substrate. During their lives, thermal spray coatings are subjected to various external solicitations, which could be detrimental to their adhesion: thermal shocks, fatigue, wear, corrosion... The objective of the present work is to study some of these effects and their influence on the interface adhesion toughness of various substrate and coating couples. Annealing treatment, hydrogen contamination and thermal treatments are especially studied in relation to the modification of the residual stresses state.
