Drones research program

The drones research program develops a mini and micro-drone activity which links several activities ( flight mechanics, electronics, computing, simulation, optimization, regulations …).

A complete system for mini and micro drones, named Paparazzi (http://paparazzi.enac.fr) was developed as a free OpenSource  software (licence GPL V2), many cooperations with ENAC research teams and foreign labs followed .

ENAC drones team partipates to the development of new civil applications for drones and, with DGAC, to regulation evolution needed for drones insertion into air space.

The three main research topics are  :

  • UAV systems

  • Airspace insertion of drones

  • Mini-drones civil applications
