Il est traité de quelques aspects de "l'histoire du salut" chez le chroniqueur, juriste, exégète, traditionniste (muhaddith) et théologien sunnite Abu Ja'far Ibn Jarir al-Tabari (ob. 310/923). Nous nous sommes concentré ici sur les parties de ses Annales dans lesquelles il développe le mythe de la Table des nations comme preparatio prophetica à la venue de Mahomet; puis le mythe persan du potentat tyrannique et monstrueux (al-Dahhak ou Azdahaq), et du souverain juste (Faridun); puis le mythe coranique de Noé (et de la table des nations) et de la malédiction de ses fils; et enfin le mythe du partage du monde. |

In this paper we deal with some aspects of the "history of salvation", according to the chronist, jurist, exegete, traditionist (muhaddith) and Sunni theologian Abu Ja'far Ibn Jarir al-Tabari (ob. 310/923)., in some parts of his Annals, that is: The myth of the Table of the nations seen as a preparatio prophetica to the coming of Mohammed; the Persian myth of the cruel Tyran, (al-Dahhak or Azdahaq), and the just King (Faridun); the koranic myth of Noah (and the table of nations) and the malediction of his sons; and finally the myth of the sharing out of the world. |
