The descriptions include: Genus, species, author(s); Collection data and pollen slide number of the specimen examined; Distribution data [other geographic areas and Western Ghats (Habit of the plant, altitudinal limit, endemic nature, habitat and frequency of distribution)]. Pollen morphology includes short description(s) of aperture(s), sculpture and structure of sexine using the terms in Blackmore et al. (1992) and Bibliographic reference.
