| Since its emergence in the thirties, the sound reinforcement technics underwent considerable changes. By studying the changes, we find a conflict between artists and sound technicians. The author shows how the analysis of emic representations of technology and its matter (the sound) allows to restituate in the field of culture a conflict that at first sight appeared to be a labour conflict of a technical nature. |
