| In the field of sound synthesis with physical modeling, particle networks represent the simplest way to modelcomplex vibrating structures. To reach a more accurateknowledge of these structures and their properties for abetter control of the simulation processes, we have beendriven to focus upon some special classes of networks andto study carefully the modeling methods and theunderlying theoretical and algorithmic conditions. Severalinteresting properties appeared concerning parameters, quantizations effects (matter and time) and constructionrules. These properties give access to numerous suitablemodels to perform a great variety of simulations under acomplete control (acoustic, algorithmic and mechanical). |
