An anti-disturbance ADRC based MPPT for variable speed micro-hydropower plant
Résumé
Micro-hydropower has been paid more attentionfor its huge potential in the renewable energy section. Thehydraulic turbine efficiency is sensitive to the water flow ratesand rotation speed variations, which makes the variable speedoperation preferable to ensure the maximum power pointtracking (MPPT) in a micro-hydropower generation system(MHPGS). However, a MHPGS is a complex coupled nonlinearsystem disturbed by large internal dynamics and externaldisturbances, which bring negative influences on the speedingtracking performance. The active disturbance rejection control(ADRC) has advantages in dealing with large uncertainties, as itcan estimate both internal and external disturbances and thencompensate the influences in the closed loop dynamics in realtime. To improve the anti-disturbance ability of the speedtracking process for a MHPGS, an ADRC based MPPT strategyis put up in this paper. Finally, simulation and experiment resultshave proved the high efficiency of the proposed strategy.
