Critical review of the book " Gaze in Human-Robot Communication "
Résumé
Genesis. This book is a collection of extended versions of papers presented at two workshops on gaze and human-robot interaction co-organized by the editors at the ACM/IEEE Conference on Human-Robot Interaction (HRI). The first (Gaze in HRI: From Modeling to Communication) held in 2012 was focusing on gaze in human and human-robot interaction. The second (HRI Face-to-Face: Gaze and Speech Communication) held in 2013 focused on gaze and speech interaction in face-to-face communication. Initially published in Interaction Studies (14:3, 2013), this volume skips one contribution by Cassel et al.. on the prosody of motherese during mother-infant interactions to focus on HRI gaze studies.
