This research analyzes pre-appropriation phase of a management tool introduction process referred to as "benchmarking" in a health care facility, from a participant-observation method. The research first presents a chronological analysis of the pre-appropriation stages, followed by an analysis by stakeholder. The dominant perspective of the pre-appropriation is socio-political, yet other dimensions are also identified. This research helps to better understand the phase of pre-appropriation, which has yet to be studied in greater depth.

Cette recherche analyse la phase de pré-appropriation du processus d'introduction d'un outil de gestion, le benchmarking, dans un établissement de santé à partir d'une observation participante. Après une analyse chronologique des étapes de la pré-appropriation, une analyse par acteur est proposée. La perspective dominante lors de la pré-appropriation est socio-politique, mais d'autres dimensions sont également identifiées. Cette recherche permet de comprendre davantage la pré-appropriation, phase encore peu étudiée de l'appropriation
