German music has established itself internationally faster and easier than the German novel and both arts have maintained conflictual relationships that this text focusses on, dealing mainly with songs, from the opera arias to folksongs passing through commercial popular music.

Si la musique allemande s'est imposée plus facilement que le roman, les deux arts ont entretenu des relations conflictuelles et concurrentielles sur lesquelles ce texte "intermédial" revient, en s'intéressant principalement au chant, de l'opéra à la chanson commerciale en passant par le folklore.
